Solidarity Sisters

An 8-week community & cultural creation space exploring  spiritual activism, feminine wisdom, & transformational leadership.

We have been culturally conditioned to be divided and the patriarchal institutional structures of which we are all a part reinforce these divisions. Unity is an expression of the feminine essence and it is within our nature as women to be healers and unifiers – to bridge social and cultural divides.

Solidarity Sisters is a safe community space for women-identifying folks to gather in the spirit of sisterhood and to explore what it looks and feels like to bridge outer activism with inner activism. It is intended to be a collaborative learning space where we engage as active participants in creating a new culture, aligning our values to our every day experiences and our relationships, dismantling the divisions that perpetuate separation, and to recognize ourselves and each other as powerful leaders in such an important time. We gather to build women’s power by listening and supporting each other, discovering our inner fire and voice, and taking action in our local community.

Our intention is to bring diverse women together to hold spaces and process relevant issues of our time. We will share conversation and ritual around what it means to be a woman today. We are here to feel our strength  as women to make change, and to help heal our Mother Earth.

There is no cost to join this group however we are looking for folks who are committed to the entire 8-week journey.

Donations are welcome.

Conscious Cooking

For the modern, mindful woman: growing conscious community one mindful dish at a time.

Conscious Cooking is for those who want to explore bringing mindfulness into their cooking experience and who want to learn and share with others how to “cook from scratch”.  It’s a group of veggie lovers, fermentation fans, herb and spice connoisseurs, holistic health enthusiasts and conscious eaters. We will share recipes, cook together, listen to music, and feast around a table while sharing stories and enjoying nutritious, balanced, wholesome meals.

We hope to bring to the table a fermented series that includes homemade sourdough bread, kimchi, kombucha, sauerkraut, and pickling. We would also love to make homemade foods like soup broth, hummus, peanut butter, and desserts like banana bread and cookies. Our hope is that each participant will feel inspired to share their own kitchen secrets and to bring your favorite meals to the table.

This is an opportunity to learn about and share in the pleasure of preparing plant-based, homemade, & overall healthy meals that nourish our bodies, energize our hearts and minds, and provide healthy bacteria for our guts that keep us balanced and in harmony with the chemistry of our overall well-being.

To cover the basic cost of food items, we are asking that each participant offer a minimum donation of $10 per class.

Sunrise Movement Meetup

Sunrise is a movement led by young people to stop climate change and create millions of good jobs in the process.

We are building an army of young people to make climate change an urgent priority across America, end the corrupting influence of fossil fuel executives on our politics, and elect leaders who stand up for the health and wellbeing of all people.

We are ordinary young people who are scared about what the climate crisis means for the people and places we love. We are gathering in classrooms, living rooms, and worship halls across the country. Everyone has a role to play. Public opinion is already with us – if we unite by the millions we can turn this into political power and reclaim our democracy.

We are not looking to the right or left. We look forward. Together, we will change this country and this world, sure as the sun rises each morning.

NEXT MEETUP: FEB. 5th, 2019  |  6 – 9PM

Sacred Ceremonies

Sacred Ceremonies are Life Season Ceremonies that mark important transitional periods in a person’s life, such as birth, puberty, marriage, having children, and death. They involve ritual activities and teachings designed to help us transition gracefully into new chapters and seasons of our lives. Is there a moment approaching in your life or the life of a loved one that you would like to honor and recognize? We work with you to carefully craft a deeply personal, meaningful and symbolic experience that acknowledges transformation.

Example: A Mother Blessing Ceremony

This is an alternative to the traditional baby shower, which prepares a woman for transition into motherhood. It is a time for the mother-to-be to gather with the women closest to her, toward the end of her pregnancy, and cultivate positive energy for her upcoming birth experience.
